Every week the fashion website "UsTrendy" holds a design competition to reward and advertise global talent.

In September 2009 Hazel Stitch received a prestigious first place.

Don't chuck it, Strut it

Holiday makers and locals alike were enthralled to visit ‘Aber is Green’ at the Aberystwyth bandstand on Saturday the 13th of June. Featuring a fashion show by Young local designer Hazel Stitch and music by several local bands.

The fashion show displayed a vibrant collection of beautifully tailored corsets, vivacious bustles and graceful dresses.

Beautiful local models were resplendent in a wide range from bubble wrap skirts and pink fur bikinis, to ethereal gowns and Victorian corsets made using wonderful modern fabrics to give them a little something extra.

All garments featured are hand made locally using up to 80% recycled fabrics of the highest standard.

Also in attendance where Zalingai, Eco Art and Milly the Bike Doctor.
